3-29-06- cincinnati has given us a great oppurtunity to play at college hill coffee co this may.  we have also lined up several other performances to keep us busy.  it's always a pleasure to see new and familiar faces.   we hope to see everyone soon.

3-19-06- thanks to everyone who came out to lafayette, indiana last saturday to help make our first show at purdue a success.  on april 21st we will be back at purdue at java roaster.  

3-6-06- another successful show, excluding some difficulties in the first half, at harvest moon coffeehouse is past.  we soon plan to schedule more shows in the columbus area for everyone to attend, but as of now, keep checking the site for updates.  more music should be on its way as well.  thank you everyone!

2-15-06- sorry about the long period of silence from the pricklies.  we've all been very busy with the new year and other things in our lives, but you can expect more pricklies appearances in the near future.  some members may be inconsistent for shows that aren't in the columbus vicinity but nothing too unusual, and you can still count on a good performance.  our first show back will be played at harvest moon coffeehouse on friday, march 3rd.  after that, a few of us will be appearing at the skylight cafe at purdue university.  thanks for the support everyone, and we hope to see you soon.

11-25-05- it seems as though our site has changed a bit.  feel free to take a look around and stay for a while.  everyone is welcome to come see us at kafe kerouac on december 2nd.

11-7-05 - hello. why the update? for one, there hasn't been one in a month, and also, a show is coming up. the pricklies are back on november 11th, from 8-10pm at three cups coffeehouse. it should be a dazzling show with many surprises. really. come out and see us. by the way, if you would like to book a show, go to our band section. if you have any comments, please post them on our message board in the community section. 

10-4-05 - the performance at the surprise party friday night was adequate for no practice. check back for updates.

9-17-05 - well, the seton parish show had a great turnout, but some severe sound difficulties, such as getting shocked by the mic and starting 15 minutes late. Anyways, maybe we'll get some pictures up here from larry's, and possibly seton parish. next show in forever away because we're busy, but when we come back, make sure you all come to welcome us.

8-28-05 - there's nothing better than starting the school year out with a fine show. larry's was a fun time. although they only allowed ages 21 and up, we had a nice-sized crowd with many new faces. a new show was posted with this update as well. our next show is this thursday at scarlet and grey. it's a really big rip off, but we decided we would try it. pictures will be up shortly from larry's.

8-19-05 - summer's about to end, but with the new school year the pricklies have a couple new shows coming up next month. the first is at scarlet and grey cafe on september 1st at 6 pm, and the second is the annual seton parish festival on the 10th. don't forget the show at 10 pm on august 27th at larry's bar, it should be a gas, and it's free! pictures from osgood, and momentarily from the most recent vic's show will be up with this post.

8-14-05 - well it looks like we will be having a show next friday, september 30th, but it's just a private birthday party. other than that our next show won't be until november as of now, but if that changes we will let you all know.

8-14-05 - it was a busy weekend for us, starting out our friday night with a show at victorian's midnight cafe. it was acceptable, considering the little time we had to practice with the four of us and disregarding some sound problems that we had throughout the performance. this was played with brian, alex, jake, and butch. then, first thing saturday morning, we were heading down to indiana to perform for some more folks. brian, jake, butch, and chris played at this party, but we don't know if chris will be playing much more with the pricklies, for his job is keeping him considerably busy. we still have some shows coming up and always check back for more updates!

8-7-05 - just a quick, cheerless news update. after the next few shows, it seems as though many of the members will be exceptionally busy for the next few months. with big brian's marching band agenda, chris' new job in cincinatti, jake's busy schedule, beej's job, and alex's hectic life, we are left with no sufficient time to book shows and/or practice for them. alex is struggling with some feverish times. he is suppose to play high school golf, high school hockey, work a dreadful job, play in a band, and soon to be trying to keep his grades up in school. we need everyone to pray for our AL ' so we can find some time to play some music. so if there is a break for the pricklies; don't worry. we'll be back.

7-30-05 - to those few who came out last night to kafe kerouac to see us, thank you much! the performance was a little different than usual seeing as we didn't have all members play with us. although there were only three of us, the show went very well. also, a big thanks to stanley for the helping hands. he did a wonderful job as well. our next show, as of now, will be at victorian's midnight cafe. the directions are available on our site along with other additional information on the event.

7-18-05 - thank you all for coming to support us this friday. sorry about the lackluster performance. though i shouldn't be one to make excuses, brian and i had just endured a week of workcamp with our church, and with chris' job in cincinnati, this left no practice time for the show. pictures should be up with this post. be sure to attend our performance july 29th at kafe kerouac. love you.

7-7-05 - as you may have noticed, the pricklies will soon be busy with shows this summer. the soonest will be friday, july 15th at harvest moon coffeehouse. it will be our first show there, and it will be free of charge. check the shows section for more information. in other news, you also may have noticed the multitude of changes and additions to the website. if not, feel free to explore!

6-21-05 - today knarf and I passed out plenty of demos to venues, so hopefully we will get some more shows soon. chris got a job in cincinatti. therefore, he may not play with us as often for now. keep checking the shows section for updates.

5-22-05 - well the show went over very well last night in athens. for our show on june 8th, the website might say 21 and over, but anyone can come. it's only $3 at the door. if that price seems too much for you then we will give you a free demo at the show for coming. please stop by and see us!

5-10-05 - the site is mostly finished except pictures and music which we will have when granted access. we would like to have plenty of shows this summer to keep us busy and working, so if anyone knows of any venues or would like to hire us then please email us. enjoy!
